Gitxsan Hand T-shirt
$22.50 USD
Description
This unisex fitted t-shirt features the Gitxsan Hand art of Native American artist Michelle Stoney. The hand design was an idea from local high school teachers. They had asked the artist, Gitxsan Michelle Stoney, to create a design to honour the local survivors. In the palm is Stigyoden, the local mountain in the Gitxsan Nation in Northern British Columbia. Surrounding the mountain are flowers, which in our language are called majagalee, meaning children. And on top, representing the fingers are the feathers, which honour the children who never made it home. To learn more about the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, visit our blog, "A Truth Not Fully Told" featuring this t-shirt. This tee is made with preshrunk 100% Cotton. Shirts are easy to maintain and machine washable. We carry sizes Small to XX-Large. Refer to our size chart in the images for detailed sizing information.
