October Mocs

I am a self-confessed enthusiast of all the cozy pursuits.

Reading. Old movie watching. Woolgathering.

In the fall, this tendency becomes even more frequent and powerful, influenced by cooling temperatures and autumn leaves and pumpkins in a pile on the front porch. My house sits on the edge of a forest and the view from every window is a blaze of red maple and golden oak. The colour orange becomes a whole mood. All I want to do is practice staying home for the winter with my slippers on and drink from a selection of teas.

And the coziest slippers by far are Laurentian Chief’s fur-trimmed moccasins. They are what I refer to as October mocs, because of their black suede, tan fur cuff, and white beading with orange-gold accents. Fleece-lined and snug, these are slippers to nap in. To craft in. • Nap
